Patty Wagstaff
Patty Wagstaff had a poor childhood, her Air Force parents being alcoholics could not cope with their highly strung daughter. So they sent her off to an endless number of girl’s schools, but the schools could not cope with Patty as she kept on running away from them.
Then one day she met Bob Wagstaff, her second husband, in Alaska, this was to be her turning point. Bob was able to install into Patty the idea that she could achieve anything she put her mind to. Bob taught Patty how to fly and this centred all of her self will and drives to achieve the true heights.
Patty launched into the male dominated sport of aerobatics and within fourteen years she became the first woman to win the U.S. Aerobatic Championships in 1991. Patty repeated this achievement again in 1992. She is now a firm favourite in air shows where the fans flock from miles around to see her death defying stunts. When she is not thrilling the audiences in the shows she fills in with stunt flying for Hollywood blockbusters.
